Killing a mob does not automatically put every drop in your inventory. Drop eligibility and rates depend on the mob’s species, its rarity, and how much damage you dealt relative to other players.
Damage contribution
In PvE, players who deal a meaningful share of damage (commonly discussed thresholds around 15% and top-four damage) can collect drops. Tagging a mob for a tiny hit often is not enough when others carry the fight. Aim to contribute real damage if you want the petal.
Mob rarity drives petal rarity
Higher-rarity instances of a species have better chances at higher-rarity petals of the types that species drops. That is why Super and Eternal kills are disproportionately valuable: the table shifts upward.
Species tables
Each mob type has its own drop table. Bees and bumble bees are classic pollen sources; other species map to other petals. Learning a few high-value tables for your current biome is more useful than memorizing every percentage on the wiki.
Practical use with alerts
When a Super of a species you care about pings, you already know the drop potential is high. Travel only if you can contribute enough damage and if the region matches your loadout. Defeat notifications tell you whether the kill already happened.
